Women Care Packages

Periods are a universal fact of life wherever you live or go. But unfortunately, so is the stigma and embarrassment that comes with them.

One for me, one for her

We recognise the power and potential of every woman and girl child. But this is often suppressed by poverty, violence, exclusion and discrimination. And it’s our women and girls who are most affected.

We encourage and help women take an active role in finding solutions to their problems and realising their basic human rights and their full potential. We provide vulnerable individuals with care packages to last them upto 6 cycles.

Menstrual Cups

Menstrual cups are usually made of flexible medical grade silicone and shaped like a bell with a stem. The stem is used for insertion and removal. The bell-shaped cup seals against the vaginal wall just below the cervix. Every 4–12 hours (depending on the amount of flow), the cup is removed, emptied, rinsed, and reinserted. After each period, the cup should be boiled for at least 5 minutes and stored for use the next month.

Putting an end to period taboos

Australian attitudes towards menstruation and the practical ways women manage bleeding have changed immensely over the past century. Whereas once menstruation was described as an illness, today we insist that girls and women behave the same every day of the monthly.
